The certified nursing assistant is a beginning career in nursing that serves as the benchmark for advancing in the nursing profession. Many successful nursing leaders started as nursing assistants. It is only when a nurse begins as a nursing assistant can the profession of nursing becomes meaningful.

What You Will Learn In Our CNA Course

  • Move patients in bed, transfer patient from bed to chair and vice versa.
  • Assist patients who are not able to toilet on their own.
  • Bathe patient and provide hygiene and comfort.
  • Help patients with feedings and ADLs.
  • Participate with restorative or rehabilitative care of patients unable to move and walk.
  • Apply dry dressings to wounds and clean bed sores.
  • Position patients to prevent risk of bedsores.
  • Learn warning signs of complications.
  • Document and report observations of significant changes on patients’ conditions.

The course will teach you how to help a patient maintain their sense of dignity, maintain and respect patient’s privacy, communicate with patients and their family, and you will learn how to become a critical part of the healthcare team.
